WHY – OUT OF THE BLUE’ & ‘PLAYING FIRE’

 When I saw each of these pieces I was immediately drawn to the water.

Something so simple, water, and yet it is something so vital.

To me the water is a metaphor for how we navigate life’s challenges and joys. Water has the ability to fill any space, any shape whilst maintaining its true self.

The colours of ‘Out of the Blue’ really brighten me up when I catch a glimpse of it as I walk past the room it is hanging in. It reminds me that bad times never last and soon enough those challenges will be triumphed by joy.

‘Playing with Fire’ is fierce but comforting at the same time. Much like it is when we decide to ‘play with fire’. It feels so right in the moment but we also know that it is oh so wrong.

Yet we still go ahead and play……..
